DEMO-EM is a hierarchical method to assemble multi-domain protein structures
from cryo-EM density maps.
It starts with query sequence and cryo-EM density maps, with individual domain structure
. Next, the multi-domain complex structure is constructed by a progressive
rigid-body domain assembly and atomic-level flexible structural refinement
process under the guidance of cryo-EM density maps and deep-learning distance profiles.
Large-scale benchmark tests have shown significant advantage of DEMO-EM over
traditional homologous template based approaches for
high-accuracy multi-domain protein structure modeling.
