Inquires about the I-TASSER results

Post by syjang315 »

To whom who may concern,

I recently used I-TASSER to predict the crystal structure of wild-type human lamin A and a model of the proposed D300H mutant.
I am not used to using this software, and I used the whole sequence of the LMNA gene.
I was wondering whether I could get the image of the specific mutation site with the result.

LMNA_reference result: https://seq2fun.dcmb.med.umich.edu//I-T ... t/S703751/
LMNA_mutation result (D300H): https://zhanglab.dcmb.med.umich.edu/I-T ... t/S703692/

I attached the example of the images I want to get from the prediction model.
Thanks!

Sincerely, Seoyun

Dear user,

I would suggest you download the pdb files of the two models from the results page and install pymol on your local computer. Then you can load the pdb files to pymol and use pymol to do this.

You can also use the webpage, and go to the model section. right-click, then select console. then you can select the residue you want, the web application is Jmol, where you can find help from the top button on the console window. But I would suggest you use pymol, which can give you more freedom to do what you want to.

Let us know if you have any problems.
